On Monday, October 31 we opened the Gus Grissom Boyhood Home for our 5th annual trick or treat opportunity. Starting at 4PM we joined in with the businesses down town for trick or treating. We continue throughout the actual town's trick or treat hours, wrapping things up between 8PM and 9PM.
This year we fell down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. While there, kids were able to join the tea party with the Madd Hatter, the Tweedles, the White Rabbit, and even the Queen of Hearts.
The weather was not the best. The rain that was supposed to end that afternoon continued off and on throughout the night but even with the rain we
handed out 137 treats to trick or treaters.
Every year we always get at least one dressed as an astronaut. This year's "astronaut" prooves that you are never to young to reach for the stars. Aim high little one!
It was a great night full of fun for all involved. It is true that "We Are All Mad Here" and we loved it. We love seeing all the smiles. We loved seeing trick or treaters from young to older. We loved dressing up and joining in. We loved being a part of the community. And we love bringing life back to the home for all ages.
